I don't generally have feedback problems but you need to learn how to manage feedback on this type of guitar if you're keeping up with a loud drummer. I mostly play indie on this type of guitar but I also play guitar for a countryish singer songwriter in which case I usually use a 335, 330 or Casino set clean and neck pickup only. I tend to prefer my 330 to the Casino for most purposes because it compliments my 335s better, but the Casino is a good option that fits down the middle. The Elitist while a great guitar is somehow more modern and has a dipped in plastic vibe. The JL model feels ALOT like a Gibson and vintage. The pickups are noticably brighter and punchier than the P90s in my 1965 ES330, which is a very sweet sounding guitar. I own an Elitist Casino and the John Lennon Casino (the 1st MIJ/USA run with nitro). The general quality of woodwork is higher as well and they're very nicely finished. It's a poly finish but far thinner and better applied than on a Korean or Chinese Casino. I much prefer the neck on my friend's fairly recent one to my 90s version which is more like a '66 Gibson shape and width. The necks on the current one is I think specified at 1 5/8ths nut width and a C profile, so it's slightly narrower than a Gibson 60s slim taper but not tiny. I have the predecessor to the Elite/Elitist, made for the domestic market in Japan and a little closer to the Korean style Casinos (Maple neck, 17 fret body join).
